My mind went straight to the “influencers”. Seems like self righteousness and having an inflated sense of self and swagger would be necessary traits to be successful in such roles. I’m more so “staggered” by their legions of followers that line up to be told what to wear or buy.

My mind went straight to the “influencers”. Seems like self righteousness and having an inflated sense of self and swagger would be necessary traits to be successful in such roles. I’m more so “staggered” by their legions of followers that line up to be told what to wear or buy.

My current run ins didn't involve influencers this time, it was "content creators"

A couple of creators were having a fake flame war with each other, and a fan commented that they wanted to make a joke, but didn't want to because "they were just a fan".

I piped in to point out, its on a public platform, why refrain from commenting. If they don't get the joke, fuck them.

This fan then went on a tirade about my lack of empathy and I was a sociopath. Followed up with calling me names, and expected me to apologize.

What really got me, is one of the content creators like my post, and the other turned around and stated that was a lot of words to call myself an asshole.

The fanatic went on to state that it was his "job" to publicly shame me and make sure everyone knows what an unempathetic asshole I am, all because I suggested, mind you with vulgar language, that he should say whatever he wants, and fuck what anyone thinks

The other situation came about on Instagram, where someone was trying to make fun of people who work a menial job and have to put up with bullshit complaints. All I stated was that you unfortunately have to put up with bullshit because thats the paycheque. She went on to try to discredit me because I have a "burner" profile and I didn't know what I was talking about. I replied that she misunderstood my intentions, and that I was actually agreeing with her. Instead of apologizing, she just doubled down and carried on being indignant, and tried to shut it down by telling me to leave her alone.

I ended up looking into her profile and found she was soliciting people to DM her, nudes for money. Reported the profile and blocked her.

FUCK ME

Society is sick. Absolutely sick. The fanatic stated nothing other than a leaning towards being a fascist, the other nothing more than an entitled brat.
