Re: Random stuff
Would have had a pic, but as a birthday present to me, the wife stole it to have it framed. Will be done in two weeks. UV protected museum quality glass.
Have to get my alien queen done up soon as well

Re: Random stuff
I havent bought books in awhile, but I keep tabs on some sellers I've met on CGC (RMA and Slym to name them)
Slym usually just has cheap drek for sale, which of course you guys know I love. I came across a package he put together of 90s UXM and this was in it. Never seen it before. It has what looks to be manufactured defects along the spine. I opened the book and could instantly tell this book had never been opened, the cut along that side made the pages stick together. I asked Slym (Neil) about the book and he said it was a promo, possibly inside another book and that you could find it in dollar boxes everywhere. I personally never found one, and now I have one.

Re: Random stuff
I saw this on eBay for $80 obo, I offered $60 and they accepted. Being a Maxx fan, it should say something that I have not gotten this series, this is the first book I have. I think the honeymoon with Sam Kieth is over after getting my collection signed and stabbed. His artwork is becoming awful. Downright terrible in fact. Its sad watching someone you were once inspired by to lose themselves.

Re: Random stuff
Look what came this week. It's a beautiful book, only defects I can find is on the bottom left corner, a few cb spine ticks. Wondering if this is worth a CPR

Re: Random stuff
That does look really nice, and I have zero “X-Men” bias. Wasn’t really looking at it in terms of it being a possible CPR candidate, I’ll let those more knowledgeable on the “p” part chime in.

Re: Random stuff
FWIW I don't think this can get a 9.6. In fact, I'd hesitate doing a CPR just for the possibility of losing the White Pages.
Nice book- Congrats!

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of a CGC sub this afternoon. First one in 5 years. Will be doing one more sub this year, and then another one, and that'll be it for the foreseeable future
