In one sense, of course, it's flattering to know you live in someone else's head...or a couple of someones, in this case...rent free.

But that it's tolerated is why I have walked away. It's not the shot that's the problem...it's the people in charge.

I read Dena's various posts, and I just sat back and laughed and shook my head. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

The one where she says "expecting moderation to be 100% perfect is unreasonable!!!" is the same whiny, tired excuse they've made for literal decades. It's a shield they use to ward off criticism. No one expects them to be perfect...people expect them to be consistent. There's a huge, huge difference. And if there's inconsistency, deal with it. Don't sweep it under the rug and pretend it doesn't exist, and then whine about how people expect you to be perfect.

But they hide behind a cloak of anonymity, answerable to no one but themselves, and giving nothing but lip service to impartiality. They are, in every sense of the word, as corrupt as the day is long...they just don't have the power to do any serious damage to a large group of people.

The comments by many in that thread should by their clue, but it won't be. Until they suffer the just and equitable consequences of their bad actions (which no man can mete out to them), AND understand that those consequences are a direct result of their actions, nothing will change. Karma is real, but karma is patient.

And the comment is made in the Moderation thread of all places, not tucked away in the "What's new in your Dell westerns collection" where only a few people lurk. That would have been the perfect time for a mod to point that post out as an example of how not to engage someone, but that would require the maturity and consistency they don't seem willing to demonstrate.
I suppose I still haven't reached the point where I stop asking "why?".

I rarely visit that sub forum, and I have that crusty butt hair on ignore anyway. If I thought for one second mentioning it or reporting it would help rather than hinder, I would. So far anything I've ever reported results in nothing noticeable.
I do find it interesting, and perhaps even promising that kav made no reaction to the comment like his ex did.

What I don't understand is lazyboy is just as vocal as you ever were, but he often gets nasty mean about it. To be honest, be seems to be exactly what people on both forums accuse you of being, and that's inaccurate because you don't get nasty, unless you're returning it.

You'd have had so much "fun" with DylanTheDik, but I wonder if the krew would have defended him if you'd been there.
