I just learned that the novel for The Last Jedi explains why Rey was SOOOOOOOOOOO powerful in The Force. She is able to gain knowledge and experience in The Force by touching other Force users.

Fuck you, Abrhams and Kennedy.
Fuck you, Disney.

They absolutely shit on the franchise. "Strong Woman" Laura Dern's character Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo for some reason sees no need to fill in anyone, especially the New Republic's "Best Fighter Pilot" on her "brilliant" escape plan, which ultimately and miserably failed anyway. Did she honestly think the First Order wouldn't notice a cluster of ships moving off slowly in another direction? So, then she has to sacrifice her incredible self, after standing and watching ships being picked off one by one for a minute, by ramming her ship into the Star Destroyer while in Hyperspace.

If that could be done, why the FUCK didn't the Rebellion do that to the first Death Star??? What, nobody thought of it until her? It's because that's not how it works. Their absent research, lack of respect to the HISTORY of SW, and lazy writing weaponized Hyperspace. Pretty much like giving everyone the ability to destroy a ship with ease.

Ultra "Strong Woman" Rey is, after only minutes, able to pilot the Falcon through maneuvers Han Solo never pulled off in his lifetime of experience with the ship he modified.
She is able to mind control a Stormtrooper without even knowing she could use the Force.
She was able to hold her own against someone trained his whole life by Luke Skywalker, and then by Supreme Leader Snoke.
After only days she is able to hurl giant boulders with ease- Something Yoda struggled doing with one.
She had no character flaws- greed, ambition, impatience, jealousy, all the things that made becoming a Jedi something that required a lifetime of training and discipline in order to control the things that lead to the Dark Side. Shit, no problem for Rey. She's already perfect.

Just rapes Star Wars for the sake of pushing an agenda :(

I like Star Trek, the “original” series. I think I’d like it more if I didn’t imagine ongoing commentary from Sheldon(Big Bang Theory)in the background for the entire hour. The quips about the commercials are ok I guess.

Is Sheldon doing that on YouTube?

I hate commentary. Despise it

People on YouTube reacting to YouTube.

Those people are absolute parasites

The only ones that get a pass are those who walk through, do challenges or speedrun a video game. There is one user named Carcinogen, and he makes two streams of the video he puts up, one with commentary, explaining what he does, and one without. He doesn't have a video of himself playing the game. He explains in detail how he is doing what he is doing, giving valuable information on the game. Or if you dont want to hear his docent tone, he has the other commentary free video.

People are so far up their own ass, they need attention 24/7 no matter the source. I will never ever understand why you need to show your face while you comment on something. Ever sit and stare at someone playing a game. Yeah its boring as fuck

Nah, it’s all in my head. I was watching “Everybody Hates Chris” not too long ago, and while I like the writing and actors, the funniest bits to me where when Chris Rock makes some off hand comment about what’s happening onscreen.

I don’t know enough about the gaming world or associated videos, but I have favorites when it comes to reactions. It’s like having a friend next to me giving their thoughts. I sometimes watch a guy “Kvng guap” on YouTube who “reacts” to late ‘80’s to mid 90’s rap/hip hop. Despite his young age, I find his opinions of the music comforting and validating(as he’s agreeing with me mostly). That’s a good feeling.

To circle back to my original comment, it’s only been in the past year that I’ve gotten around to seeing the “Young Sheldon” series where the background commentary is not only an important element of the show, but is often deeply poignant to one familiar with these fantasy characters and recollections.

I think I was mostly joking about the Star Trek thing, but taking a cue from MST3K, I’m sure I’d thoroughly enjoy watching a period appropriate show with characters such as Archie Bunker, George Jefferson, or Frasier Crane talking over or reacting to whatever it is I’m watching.

An excerpt from a Forbes article in regard [in part] to the gender swaps, established-character deconstruction, male-character emasculation, and all intrusions from the woke in the M-she-U:

Fans Aren't Gatekeeping* Anything, They're Just Wary Of Would-Be Dictators Trying To Take Over Their Hobbies

The reality is that fans love having people they can talk to in depth about their hobby. This kind of involved and alomost studied discussion of a hobby is actually what keeps various fandoms ticking along.

This means it's not in the interest of fans to limit access to what they care about, and if people are genuinely curious about a hobby, then fans almost always tend to offer their help and insight.

However, when you see someone online or even in the real world accuse a fan of gatekeeping, it's more likely that said accuser is not interested at all in that hobby and is actually a power-hungry would-be dictator that wants to rule said fandom with an iron fist.

(I doubt that last pun was intended)

This is why we see the established being re-written, and don't see many or any new stories or ideas containing the woke message. Because they don't CARE about the character or its history, but they can't be bothered with using their professed imagination and creativity into offering something that feels natural rather than forced.

Just in case-
*When someone takes it upon themselves to decide who does or does not have access or rights to a community or identity.
