Single play games
What I mean by single play is those games that have a really low replay value. Replay value consists of multiple achievements, endings or expansion of the game universe.
These games are categorized by their linearity or the fact they are puzzle/solving games in which there is only one real outcome. If you have played through and figured out the villian, that's the game.
Ive been spending a lot of time with my PS now subscription, I decided to give it a shot, and after a month, decided I am not going to renew. It's a great idea, but since most of what is offered ends up being free on PS Plus, or stuff I've already bought, I've started playing games I would have never tried. The puzzle/strategy genre is something I've liked, but nothing I would commit to buying. Here are a few quick, but thought provoking and entertaining PS titles.
Hard Rain
Detroit: Become Human
Observation
Nelson Tether: Puzzle Agent
Agatha Christie's ABC Murders

Re: Single play games
I've played some of the adult version of the I-Spy games. They're fun to play and kills a lot of time, but little replay value.

Just read OP, my bad.. with a shitload of races, sub-races and classes I've already sunk 400 hrs into it. Replay value overload for these types of games.

I've looked at this game but haven't given it a go yet. Kinda too much like Warcraft 3 to me

The Baldur's Gate series (D&D/Fogotten Realms) and Fallout 1 and 2 are the style of games I played until you and Chris introduced me to The Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age, For me this current Baldur's Gate plays a little like Dragon Age.. with the LGBT friendly romances etc.MetalPSI wrote: ↑Mon Nov 29, 2021 7:48 pmI've looked at this game but haven't given it a go yet. Re: Single play games
I might get back into single player.. my online woes this weekend.. almost 24hrs of phone/data downtime, a couples hours of power outage, now I'm getting regular server dropouts.. not fun.
Obviously my posting here has risen because of it.

Re: Single play games
Stumbled across this on my youtube rabbit hole dive recently. Brought to you by the genius creators of GTA, this is a collection of hilarious dialogue that is way more funny when put together like this, than it comes across in game, although with some you need a bit more context. Still, worth a 6 minute distraction and a lot of laughs, I really have to pick this game up and give it a go. It's totally outside my wheel house, but looks fun as fuck

Re: Single play games
I bought a copy of that game a few years ago for pretty cheap. I guess I'll pop it out someday to try it out. It looks like a very interesting game and may be more my speed now since I feel like I'm losing my speed and reaction time in my older age.
