If you didn't pre-order right after the reveal, well you're screwed

I wait at least a year in order for them to build a game selection, and to let everyone else work out all the early bugs. Besides, I think I'd rather try some VR Goggles next, or whatever they're called.

Thats generally what I do, but I've noticed people are crazy about this next console, like they were for PS2. It was a gong show, and a lot of consoles were lemons in the first batch.

I dont think the price will drop much over a year, but at least there won't be a rushed product.

As for games, I take a long view. I generally wait a year or longer for games, I subscribe to PS plus, so I get two free games a month. I have so many I havent even tried yet.

The only exception to waiting would be the final fantasy 7 remake. I was kinda pissed they made it episodic, but seeing how in depth the game is and how well they stuck to the original, I can forgive them

Almost a year later and it's still a bitch to find any for sale at $399/$499. Going rate on eBay is 2X original retail. I'm not paying that to scalpers.

A friend in the UK entered his email into a store lottery that they were having and that's how he got his.

The second Gen consoles are already out, and they were worried about weight I suppose. The new consoles are 370 grams lighter and all the weight was taken off the heat sink

That is never good news. Something tells me this console is going to crash and burn

I only play Madden and occasionally Resident Evil, so I tend to wait a couple years before upgrading, allowing all the problems to be discovered and fixed.

I see that XBox Series X are being offered about $700 on ebay. As tempting as it is to pull the trigger, I refuse to help support video game scalpers. I think I may have a lead on on PS5 as one of my team members told me her sister in law bought 5 PS5s and is having a hard time selling them so she may be selling them for what she paid. Unfortunately, I'm second in line.

That sounds like you'll get a good score

I'm in a couple of ebay auctions sitting around 700 cdn, it's a bit more than retail, but worth it to me to ensure I get a 1st get console
