It seems at some point in the last few months, EA has ditched Origin for PC and created the "EA app" to play your games through. I don't know if it's to blame but ever since I've downloaded it and tried to play/connect or start EA app my machine freezes and goes haywire.
Has anyone else had any trouble?

I've had problems with EA games on console with their addon garbage
Example, the Sims. Their private server never seems to ever work with a console

Yes very annoying that you have to start a secondary program just to play a single player game. Or maybe that should read primary program? I don't know, yet another annoyance existing in these modern times.
